Look at these wild horses grazing peacefully in this grassy meadow.
This is the home of BORN TO BE WILD MUSTANG SANCTUARY. A natural habitat for rescued unadoptable mustangs. A place where magnificent American mustangs who were born in the wild and then displaced by the BLM or another government agency can live out their lives in peace and harmony with little human intervention - as nature intended.
Currently it is 160 acres of rugged undeveloped mountain and canyon land in the heart of Twin Oaks, Kern County, California. Safely and securely fenced the Sanctuary is home to nearly 70 previously rescued mustangs that have been given back the freedom they were born with and so desperately desire - and absolutely deserve. With your continued support they will live peacefully for the rest of their lives.
Help us expand the sanctuary and make room for even more horses who need to be released. Though 160 acres sounds like a lot of room it isn't enough for as many horses as we have that really need to live there. The more horses you send out the more acreage is needed to provide a healthy range. We are actively fund raising to purchase adajacent parcels of 3000 acres. This would allow grazing through part of the year which in turn reduces the amount of hay we have to buy each month. Hay prices are soaring just like gasoline. The additional acreage would also allow us to release as many as 200 additional horses.
We need to raise 3 million dollars to purchase the entire 3000 acres. This is an urgent matter. The land is for sale and will be sold to the first buyer with cash.
Your donation to Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue will help us expand the sanctuary property.

You helped us build the fence...helped us realize this dream...now please help them stay wild!
