PERSONAL ACCOMODATIONS:

Your registration for Boot Camp includes a free space in either one of our bunk rooms (2 persons) or our barn rooms (2 -3 persons per barn room). Just bring your sleeping bag or favorite bedding. Bunk houses are furnished with bunk beds and air mattresses, barn rooms are furnished with bales of hay used as bed platforms.

You are welcome to bring a tent, camper or RV and spend the week. We don't have RV hookups, so you should be self contained. There is an overnight camping park with RV hookups - Saddleback Butte State Park located only 7 miles from the ranch on Avenue J. The overnight charge at the park is $8 per night. You must be registered prior to the workshop if you intend on staying overnight at our ranch.

We will have water, restrooms and a shower available to our sleepover guests.

Meals are included with your registration with the exception of single day spectators where only lunch is included. Snacks will be available at our snack barn in between meals. Also, there are several restaurants and markets in a nearby town just 15 minutes away.

HORSE ACCOMODATIONS:

If you are approved to bring your adopted mustang to our workshop, we need you to register as soon as possible as our space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Horse pens will be at least 20 x 20 feet pipe corrals. Our wild horse pens do not have overhead shelters. Water will be provided for your horse, however you must bring your own feed. Each participant will sign an insurance waiver which will hold Lifesavers harmless in the case of any accident or injury to either horse or person

Lifesavers reserves the right to deny registration of your horse based on information you provide on your registration form, or from personal or telephone interview. In such cases, prepaid registration fees will be refunded in full and participant may opt to register as a participant without horse.

Arrival of horses should be scheduled for the day prior to workshop.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Participants MUST bring a safety helmet and be prepared to wear it during all horse handling activities. Other approriate clothing includes long pants, low heeled boots and gloves.

We are located in the desert, so bring sun screen and a hat with a large brim if you are sun sensitive.

If you are staying at the ranch in our guest bunk or barn quarters, you will need your own bedding. A well insulated sleeping bag and a foam mat are recommended.

A restroom and shower will be available but guests will need to bring their own personal items and toiletries.

DIRECTIONS TO LIFESAVERS WILD HORSE RESCUE RANCH

The nearest airports are Burbank, Ontario, or Los Angeles Int'l.

Lancaster, California is located in the high desert of Southern California, specifically, the Antelope Valley. We are approximately 2 hours North East of Los Angeles. Please refer to your road maps for directions from your area. Once you are nearing the Antelope Valley, the directions below will help guide you to our ranch.

FROM THE 14 FREEWAY NORTH:

Exit "20th Street West". Turn right onto 20th St. West. Go to Avenue J and turn right (heading east). Stay on Avenue J heading East for approximately 30 miles. Until you reach our address - 23809 East Avenue J. Our nearest cross street is 240th East.

FROM THE 14 FREEWAY SOUTH:

Exit on "Avenue J". Turn left onto Avenue J heading east. Stay on Avenue J heading East for approximately 30 miles. Until you reach our address - 23809 East Avenue J. Our nearest cross street is 240th East.

FROM THE 15 FREEWAY SOUTH:

Take Hwy 395 South. Then take the 14 Fwy South and follow directions above.

FROM THE 15 FREEWAY NORTH:

Take Hwy 395 North. Turn left on Hwy 18 (aka Palmdale Road). Turn right on Sheep Creek Rd. Go all the way to the end of road and turn left on El Mirage Rd. Take El Mirage all the way to the end and turn right on 240th East. Take 240th East all the way to the end of black top and turn left on East Avenue J. Our address is 23809 E. Avenue J.

FROM HWY 395 SOUTH:

Turn right on Rancho Road in the "Adelanto" area. Take Rancho all the way to the end and turn right on Koala. Stay on Koala - it will make a sharp left hand curve and become El Mirage Rd. Stay on El Mirage all the way to the end and turn right on 240th East. Take 240th East all the way to the end of black top and turn left on East Avenue J. Our address is 23809 E. Avenue J.
