83 mares and a few foals were trailered from Fish Creek Nevada in three large semi-truck loads. All made it safe and sound. |

Many of these horses are in very poor shape. Some are not too bad. They have been on a full feeding program since Lifesavers became involved in the rescue and they are all doing better now than they were. |

Now that they are safely at the Lifesavers Ranch in southern California, we can moniter their diet and improvement daily. On a free feed diet of Bermuda grass hay and Barley, you can see they are quite content to just hang out. |
|
Even the foals are relaxed enough to take some time for mutual grooming. |

The Fish Creek horses will be allowed to gain weight and strength before we start working with them or adopting them out. They are wild horses of domestic stock and most of them seem to have level heads and interested personalities. They are mostly bays and sorrels in color with a few appies, duns, roans and several buckskins. |

| Special Thanks is given to Willis Lamm, Shirley Allen and Herbie Kicker of Least Resistance Training Concepts and Betty Lee Kelly of Wild Horse Spirit for their aid and assitance in logistics, transportation and foster housing for some of the horses. Without the help of these fellow wild horse welfare groups this complex rescue would have been nearly impossible. It takes a village. |
