training

Our horses are assessed by our experienced wild horse trainers for potential adoption. If they feel the rescued horse would make a good companion then they are started in our training program. Our staff works to prepare horses for adoption by first teaching them basic ground skills, such as haltering, leading, and trailer loading. It can take several months before a horse is ready to find a new life-long home.

Our staff and experienced trainers, who are experts in wild horse management and natural horsemanship, prepare our rescued horses for new homes. They also prepare potential adopters to be excellent horse keepers too. Rescued horses that are not suitable for adoption are transferred to our natural habitat sanctuary where they live out their lives in peace and harmony. It can take three months or more to prepare a horse for adoption.
