LOVE to the Rescue Ranch
LOVE to the Rescue Ranch
The day has finally come! You have been hearing about it for years... the need to relocate our Lancaster, CA ranch to a better neighborhood with a community of horse lovers. Well, we found it in Tehachapi, CA! And it was only possible because one of our long time donor friends helped us with the purchase. We could have never done it otherwise. But take your first look at the new LOVE TO THE RESCUE RANCH by Lifesavers!
LOVE to the Rescue Ranch will be our new training, adoption, and program ranch replacing the Lancaster property that has lost it’s charm over the years with Cartels moving in all around. It has become undesirable and unsafe for people and animals. This is why we have made this very expensive, but necessary decision.
We have lots and lots to do before we can move in. The house, which is two living quarters, needs repairs. One side will be for the ranch mgr, and the other side will be for our guests who come for programs, or volunteer, or whatever. We will be able to offer them a nice place to sleep and to experience what Love to the Rescue means to us!
Other repairs include the solar panel system - it is not working - but would save us tons of power bills when we get it back in working order. The grounds have water lines spiderwebbed all over the place and we are alreading seeing leaks that need to be fixed.
There is trash everywhere and we’ll need lots of help getting it all picked up and hauled off.
But, when you look at the grounds... imagine it full of horses. All open spaces you see right now will be corrals and turnouts and training areas for all the horses now living at our Lancaster, CA ranch. We are upgrading our neighborhood, but downsizing the size of the ranch. So every square inch of space matters.
We are giving our selves a full year to make the transition. One reason for that is that we need to raise the funds to do the repairs and improvements. And we can't rush these kinds of things - we have to be sure that the ranch is perfectly designed and built for the comfort, safety, and welfare of our horses.
Thank you for sharing in the excitement with us. We are over the moon!!! Stay tuned for more updates!!!
